About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support materials planning for consumables, gases, fuels, PPE and other items by preparing reports, analyzing current inventory, future demands, trends and variances, reviewing averages and/or projecting consumption, and sending and/or entering orders in the system to meet raw material needs for production;
Assist in planning the procurement of materials and supplies by checking customer demands and production orders, communicating requirements and/or consulting supplier portals, and performing system routines to maintain inventory levels appropriate for the production process;
Maintain contact with suppliers to verify information, delivery lead times, capacity and/or potential fulfillment issues, and follow up to ensure materials are received within the established deadlines;
Maintain communication with interface areas such as Purchasing, Production, Process/Product Engineering, Production Scheduling, Inventory and other departments to reduce uncertainties, collect information and resolve issues;
Keep item master data up to date by entering and verifying parameters and/or specifications in the computerized item system under your responsibility to prevent or avoid problems;
Perform additional activities of similar nature and complexity as requested by the immediate supervisor and/or internal demand;
Monitor the area’s performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree completed or in progress in Production Planning, Administration or related fields;
Basic Excel course or knowledge;
Course or knowledge in Microsoft Office suite;
Course or knowledge in PCPM;
Intermediate English is desirable;
