About the role

Act as technical owner and multiplier: architect core stablecoin services and guide Ramp’s fintech evolution
Design, build, and scale Ramp’s stablecoin-based payment and treasury infrastructure
Own the technical architecture for stablecoin money movement, from wallet infrastructure to fiat payment integrations, ensuring compliance, reliability, and security
Partner with external providers and internal stakeholders to deliver end-to-end product flows
Solve Ramp’s toughest fintech challenges with new technologies
Collaborate with engineers across Ramp to integrate stablecoin capabilities into core products
Contribute to a culture of technical excellence: code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring engineers across the organization

Minimum 6 years of experience shipping high-quality architectures for critical systems preferred
Proven experience with stablecoin technologies, blockchain-based payment rails, and/or wallet infrastructure
Strong production experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or equivalent)
Deep proficiency in at least one object-oriented or functional programming language (Python, Go, Java, or similar)
A strong understanding of compliance, security, and operational requirements for financial services
Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into reliable, high-impact technical solutions
Passion for mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar across teams
(Nice to have) Experience integrating with external financial service providers and APIs at scale
(Nice to have) Familiarity with cross-border settlement, FX, or treasury management systems
(Nice to have) Background in highly regulated fintech environments (e.g., payments, banking, or government-compliant infrastructure)
