About the role

  • At Ramp: rethinking how modern finance teams function in the age of AI; Ramp is a financial operations platform combining payments, corporate cards, vendor management, procurement, travel booking, and automated bookkeeping with built-in intelligence.
  • Role: pioneer agentic workflows and frontier AI applications that redefine how businesses manage their finances; experiment, prototype, and ship AI agents that automate complex financial processes end-to-end.
  • Lead a core team of engineers and designers to turn cutting-edge AI capabilities into intuitive, production-ready products serving thousands of businesses.
  • Responsibilities: own vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI bets; drive execution with engineers and designers; prototype rapidly with tools like Cursor, Bolt, or Claude Code; define evaluation frameworks to measure and improve AI/agent performance; marry customer insights with technical possibilities; stay plugged into AI research and industry trends.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a technical or analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or related)
  • Minimum 2 years of product management or adjacent product-building experience, working on an AI product
  • Working knowledge of core LLM concepts and systems, such as prompting, fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval, and evaluation, and the judgment to translate these into reliable, user-facing products.
  • Passion for AI, shown through hands-on building, prototyping, or side projects, and staying current on research and tools.
  • Fluency with modern prototyping tools (e.g. Cursor, Bolt, Claude Code) and comfort with design/collaboration environments like Figma and Git.
  • Strong customer empathy and ability to design intuitive UX atop complex AI systems
  • Fluency in data and AI evals, knowing when to trust numbers and when to lean on principles.
  • Ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences, synthesizing complex systems into compelling narratives.
  • Proven ability to lead small, cross-functional teams toward ambitious goals with urgency and agency.
  • Nice-to-haves: Experience in high-growth startups; Experience building in financial, enterprise, or other domains requiring complex systems thinking.
