About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote engineered products and system solutions to consulting engineers, contractors, architects, owners, and industry partners to increase product awareness, specifications, and overall market visibility
- Build, develop, and maintain strong professional relationships with existing clients, prospective customers, engineering firms, and strategic business partners to support long-term business growth
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, project leads, and strategic partnerships within assigned territories and target industries
- Collaborate with internal sales, engineering, and leadership teams to convert technical engagement and customer relationships into business development opportunities and increased revenue growth
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, educational seminars, and training sessions for engineers, contractors, distributors, and industry organizations
- Provide technical guidance and engineering support during project design, specification development, product selection, and system integration discussions
- Conduct regular field visits and jobsite evaluations to support contractors, engineers, and project teams throughout various phases of construction and installation
- Travel to customer locations, project sites, and industry events to provide technical support, product guidance, and relationship management
- Observe field conditions and installation practices to help identify project challenges, support troubleshooting efforts, and provide practical engineering recommendations
- Support contractors, engineers, and project teams throughout bidding, proposal, and submittal phases by providing accurate technical information and product documentation
- Assist with preparation and review of technical submittals, installation documentation, specification sheets, and related project materials
- Monitor industry trends, market activity, competitive products, customer feedback, and project pipelines to support strategic planning and business development initiatives
- Represent the company professionally during customer meetings, jobsite visits, trade shows, conferences, and industry events
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions, project activity, sales opportunities, and business development efforts within assigned territories
- Work closely with engineering, marketing, and product development teams to ensure technical accuracy across company materials and support continuous product improvement efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Industrial, or related field) preferred
- 3+ years of experience in engineering, technical sales, or business development within construction, manufacturing, or engineered product industries
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred but not required
- Experience with construction documents, specifications, and technical submittals preferred
