About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and operate scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure
Own and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform
Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code and automation (Python, shell scripting, etc.)
Administer and troubleshoot production infrastructure, including cloud environments, networking, databases, and messaging/event systems
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to increase deployment reliability and developer velocity
Support and evolve containerized and microservices‑based systems using Docker and Kubernetes
Monitor system availability, performance, and cost; define metrics and alerts; analyze logs to ensure uptime and reliability
Identify performance bottlenecks and proactively optimize systems for scalability and efficiency in a rapidly evolving environment
Participate in a shared on‑call rotation, responding to incidents and leading resolution and post‑incident learnings
Collaborate closely with application engineers, product managers, and other teams to deliver high‑quality solutions on tight timelines
Contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement across tooling, automation, security, and reliability

Requirements

What you’ll need

7–10+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or backend software engineering roles
Strong experience designing and operating systems in AWS
Expertise operating Kubernetes clusters and supporting Dev teams use of Kubernetes
Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps practices
Strong familiarity with monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization
Experience administering relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, or MariaDB)
Solid understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and high‑availability design
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
