About the role
- Coordinate shipments; work with carriers, suppliers and production staff to ensure accurate deliveries.
- Maintain any shipping/receiving related documents.
- Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies.
- Prepare daily/weekly logistics reports (shipment status, delays, material shortages).
- Assist the Logistics Manager with any priority needs.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with scheduling preventive maintenance.
- Follow up with mechanics to maintain accurate equipment records.
- Coordinate and support service calls.
- Track spare parts, tools and maintenance supplies.
- Serve as a communication link between production, warehouse, maintenance and management.
- Prepare weekly reports summarizing logistics status, maintenance updates and operations issues.
- Maintain accurate filing system for equipment and service-related documents.
- Process invoices, purchase requests and maintenance-related expenses.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in operations, logistics or maintenance support in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and best practices.
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, inventory management and basic maintenance terminology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate between multiple departments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to write effective reports.
- Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and able to work with others through complex situations.
- Excellent decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- High School degree, some college or college degree preferred.
