About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the development implementation and ongoing support of risk-based compliance testing.
  • Identify non-compliance, risks and providing solution-based alternatives.
  • Encompass certification testing as part of the standards enhancements.
  • Execution of scripted solutions on multiple Digital Ticketing projects/enhancements/upgrades.
  • Identify manage and implement manual and automation test scripts to ensure high quality output.
  • Provide detailed technical input for automation across the test spectrum.
  • Contribute to the development of test cases for new standards.
  • Certification Testing with Suppliers and vendors, analysing outputs against Standards.
  • Develop and execute continuous risk-based compliance testing.
  • Implement and maintain a Non-Compliance Risk Register and develop recommendations.
  • Provide testing support within the Test portfolio across multiple projects.
  • Deliver Technical documentation and guides as required.
  • Represent the DTS service at relevant Boards and forums.
  • Build strong relationships with peers internally and externally.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in the implementation and execution of testing activities, including test automation, within large and complex solutions that operate under strict standards-compliance frameworks.
  • Strong track record in the production and delivery of technical documentation, including test artefacts, guides, and supporting materials.
  • Experience in certification and standards‑based testing is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in interpreting technical specifications and standards documentation, translating these into robust, traceable test scenarios and test cases.
  • Proven capability in technical problem‑solving, risk identification, and the application of ITIL‑aligned processes.
  • Familiar with industry‑standard test tools and technologies, including SOAPUI/REST, Playwright, Selenium, Python, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
  • Detailed working knowledge of ITSO specifications and rail‑related standards (including RSPS 3002 and related frameworks) is essential.
  • Knowledge of cEMV processes and practices is desirable.
