About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage as directed technical and acceptance testing on multiple Programmes/projects/enhancements/upgrades.
  • Support related activities to existing and inflight Digital Ticketing solutions.
  • Support design and production of test cases, scripts, and plans across the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, manage and implement a range of manual and automation test scripts.
  • Manage all test issues through to completion including detailed analysis and resolution with stakeholders.
  • Deliver technical documentation and guides as required.
  • Ensure maintenance of a high-quality test environment.
  • Assist with developing internal test practices complying with DTS practices and test strategies.
  • Apply analytical skills to existing complex IT solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Execute tests in the Test portfolio across multiple projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in the implementation and execution of testing activities, including test automation, within large and complex solutions.
  • Strong track record in the production and delivery of technical documentation, including test artefacts, guides, and supporting materials.
  • Experience in certification and standards‑based testing is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in interpreting technical specifications, requirements and standards documentation.
  • Proven capability in technical problem‑solving, risk identification, and the application of ITIL‑aligned processes.
  • Familiar with industry‑standard test tools and technologies, including ReadyAPI and Postman, Playwright, Selenium, Python, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of ITSO specifications and rail‑related standards (including RSPS 3002 and related frameworks) is essential.
  • Knowledge of cEMV processes and practices is desirable.
