About the role

  • Raft is an intelligent logistics platform for freight forwarders and customs brokers
  • Role focuses on architectural work on cloud infrastructure, APIs, data pipelines and databases
  • Heavily involved in platform enhancements to enable multi-user access and real-time updates
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure
  • Designing, building and maintaining databases, APIs and data pipelines and managing underlying infrastructure (some DevOps)
  • Enhancing the platform to enable critical features such as multi-user access and real time updates

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Python and other programming languages
  • Extensive experience designing, building and maintaining databases, including PostgreSQL
  • Experience architecting and implementing software libraries in a multi-cloud environment
  • Ability to design and build flexible logging, monitoring and alerting infrastructure
  • Experience building scalable APIs using Python and familiarity with latest Python developments
  • Knowledge of security and data privacy best practices
  • Commercial experience with containerised tools such as Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes and Helm
