About the role

Raft is an intelligent logistics platform for freight forwarders and customs brokers
Role focuses on architectural work on cloud infrastructure, APIs, data pipelines and databases
Heavily involved in platform enhancements to enable multi-user access and real-time updates
Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure
Designing, building and maintaining databases, APIs and data pipelines and managing underlying infrastructure (some DevOps)
Enhancing the platform to enable critical features such as multi-user access and real time updates

Strong experience with Python and other programming languages
Extensive experience designing, building and maintaining databases, including PostgreSQL
Experience architecting and implementing software libraries in a multi-cloud environment
Ability to design and build flexible logging, monitoring and alerting infrastructure
Experience building scalable APIs using Python and familiarity with latest Python developments
Knowledge of security and data privacy best practices
Commercial experience with containerised tools such as Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes and Helm
