About the role

  • Operational purchasing of production materials for commodity groups, printed circuit boards, assembled cables, custom metal/plastic parts and fasteners
  • Executing purchase requisitions by placing orders with suppliers and processing supplier order confirmations (EDI/RSN, AB program)
  • Securing delivery schedules, monitoring and ensuring on-time delivery (KPI monitoring; defining and tracking corrective measures taken)
  • Analyzing existing processes to identify bottlenecks and eliminate manual steps, and contributing to the implementation and further development of AI-supported tools
  • Obtaining, comparing and negotiating quotations within specified terms and conditions
  • Concluding framework agreements with suppliers and participating in supplier evaluations
  • Supporting the handling of complaints and, where necessary, procuring replacements
  • Resolving invoice discrepancies, handling general correspondence and supporting inbound/outbound control of components

Requirements

  • Commercial or technical vocational training plus several years of professional experience in procurement
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in common Microsoft Office applications and experience with SAP R/3
  • Independent and efficient working style with good self-organization
  • Market and industry knowledge: understanding of relevant products, materials and supply markets
  • Assertiveness and strong negotiation skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
