About the role

  • Report to the Creative Director and be at the center of Radish's creative work from concept through delivery.
  • Work across two to three client projects in different stages: concepting, design production, and developer handoff.
  • Concept, design, and iterate on websites and brands for social impact organizations.
  • Translate strategy and wireframes into polished, production-ready visual design in Figma.
  • Develop and maintain design systems, UI kits, and style guides.
  • Present concepts and design work to clients, guiding conversation and decision-making when needed.
  • Prepare files for developer handoff with clear annotations, responsive specifications, and attention to accessibility.
  • Work closely with project managers to understand deadlines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Balance creative ambition with project realities: scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure designs translate cleanly to the built product.
  • Participate in weekly staffing meetings and project planning.
  • Help improve internal design processes, templates, and workflows.
  • Support new business efforts with design concepts when needed.
  • Stay current on design tools, trends, and best practices and share what you learn with the team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional design experience preferably in an agency setting
  • Expert-level Figma skills including components, auto-layout, variables, and design systems
  • Can show Figma files where you were the lead designer on projects that achieved Level AA accessibility and included designs for multiple breakpoints
  • Strong branding and identity design skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for branding and print design work
  • Experience presenting work to clients and incorporating feedback
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Nice to Have: Experience in UX design and wireframing
  • Nice to Have: Experience working with nonprofits, advocacy organizations, or social impact clients
  • Nice to Have: Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS)
  • Nice to Have: Experience with motion design or animation
