About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the creative direction for graphic and infographic concepts across visual content and programming, including communications, advertising and marketing campaigns
- Oversee the full project life cycle from planning and development through final implementation
- Advise clients and collaborators on design concepts, art and visual direction, workflows and production methodologies
- Participate in production meetings concerning aesthetic choices, budgets and timelines
- Establish creative visions and ensure visual assets support overall program concepts
- Present design concepts using mock-ups or storyboards
- Determine production methods within budget and schedule constraints
- Plan and coordinate all production phases
- Execute or commission graphic and infographic concepts
- Research and gather visual materials and information
- Coordinate, assign, review and check contributors’ work
- Produce still, animated and print visual elements
- Develop original design solutions within technical standards and constraints
- Direct asset assembly and manage production through final format
- Develop and recommend design standards for visual consistency
- Ensure quality control throughout the project life cycle
- Stay current with trends in art, design and technology
- Participate in project reviews and make corrections or adjustments
- Complete forms and documents and communicate information for follow-up
- Familiarize employees with their duties and work environment
- Perform related duties and duties of equivalent or lower classifications as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in graphic communications, interactive multimedia design (graphic design) or a related field
- Five (5) years’ experience required to perform duties satisfactorily
- Portfolio required with application
- Practical tests
- Interview
- Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing
- Mandatory criminal record check for candidates advancing in the recruitment process
- Other background checks may be conducted based on operational requirements
- French language skills: reading, speaking and writing
