About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide and advise hiring managers through every stage of the recruitment cycle.
  • Develop and implement proactive talent attraction strategies focused on building a qualified and diverse workforce.
  • Maintain a continuous talent pipeline by actively sourcing candidates through culturally relevant channels.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for managers and candidates, providing timely updates and ongoing support.
  • Represent the organization and conduct networking at targeted recruitment events.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven influential leadership abilities to guide processes, negotiate hiring conditions, and advise clients effectively.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • A proactive and creative mindset for implementing innovative sourcing and networking strategies, particularly within Northern and Indigenous talent markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of varied, specialized recruitment assignments in a fast-moving, complex, and evolving environment.
  • High degree of judgment, attention to detail, and a strict commitment to confidentiality and procedural integrity.
  • A strong foundation in Indigenous knowledge systems and community relations.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system (Workday is an asset).
  • Proficiency with tools in the Google and Office suites is an asset.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations or a related field is an asset.
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
