About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for developing staff assignment plans for the Montreal News Centre
- Coordinate all relevant data required to produce these plans efficiently
- Serve in a strategic planning and advisory role with production teams and senior editorial staff
- Negotiate terms with various stakeholders and identify creative solutions
- Coordinate information across all relevant departments to establish assignment schedules
- Secure the necessary approvals to carry out production projects
- Work remote on-call shifts to cover last-minute replacement needs
- Maintain compliance with corporate standards and ensure quality follow-up
Requirements
What you’ll need- College diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) or more years of experience in similar roles (e.g., project management, production logistics, or budget planning)
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and respect for confidentiality
- Strong ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to develop creative solutions and propose alternatives
- Excellent command of French
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (an asset)
- Knowledge of a newsroom production environment (an asset)
