Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support system, component, and subsystem testing
  • Contribute to experimental procedures and help drive testing strategies
  • Execute test plans from inception to deliverables
  • Develop testing strategies, define deliverables, and adhere to schedules
  • Conduct Research and Development oriented investigations and proof of concept testing
  • Create meticulous data organization and technical reports for related projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 2+ years of experience in a related engineering, test, lab, or product development environment
  • Experience in an electronics lab or hands-on technical testing environment
  • Troubleshooting and isolation testing skills with experience using test equipment
  • Strong debugging and technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through difficult or ambiguous problems
  • Data gathering, basic statistical analysis, and presentation skills
  • Experience writing and following standard work procedures
  • Strong technical writing skills for lab reports, test documentation, and findings
  • Ability to interpret requests and define experiments independently
  • Experience working in an optics lab or with optical systems (desired)
  • Rudimentary electronics experience, such as soldering, wire-harnessing, or basic lab assembly work (desired)
  • Familiarity with tooling and fixturing hardware to support experimental setups (desired)
  • Programming experience, particularly in C#.NET and/or VB.NET (desired)
  • Experience using and interfacing with light measurement equipment (desired)
  • Experience with image processing and analysis (desired)
