About the role

  • Ensure the customer’s operational and production environment remains healthy and secure at all times
  • Design, implementation, management, operation and continuous improvement of cloud-native security across customer Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Assist with customer onboarding: policy configuration, platform configuration and service transition to security operations teams
  • Advance platform administration through a DevOps-centric approach
  • Handle critical platform incidents and ensure closure
  • Act as L3 escalation point of contact for SecOps Analysts during incident response
  • Deliver training, coaching and thought leadership as an SME and enablement centre
  • Develop and document runbooks, playbooks and knowledgebase articles to drive best practice
  • Drive continuous improvement of managed security services through custom development, automation and integration with SecOps Engineering
  • Maintain close working relationships with incident response, disaster recovery, information security teams and key stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate with vendors for issue resolution
  • Required to work flexible timings

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in Security Engineering
  • Experience working in large enterprise or managed security services environments with a focus on cloud security
  • Experience with Microsoft-centric cloud security tools: Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, Azure WAF, Azure Firewall
  • Experience in two or more domains: GCP Security Command Center, AWS Security Hub (GuardDuty, Macie, Config, CloudTrail), SIEM platforms, EDR tools, Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco), WAFs (Cloudflare, Akamai, Azure WAF), DLP tools (Microsoft Purview, McAfee, Symantec)
  • Experience of cloud-native security controls (network access controls; identity, authentication and access management controls; intrusion detection/prevention)
  • Knowledge of security standards: NIST, ISO27001, CIS, OWASP, Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM)
  • Knowledge of scripting/coding: Terraform, python, javascript, golang, bash, powershell
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices/tools: CI/CD, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Jenkins
  • Computer science, engineering, or IT related degree (preferred but not strict requirement)
  • Holds one or more certifications: CISSP, AZ-500, SC-200, CPIA, CRIA, CCNIA, SSCP, CCSP, GCIH, GSOC (or equivalent)
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organised with ability to prioritise, multitask and work under pressure
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to delight the customer
  • Good communicator able to explain security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Must be India-based (Indian based Security Engineer)
  • Required to work flexible timings
