About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the migration, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco ASA and Firepower systems
  • Design and manage F5 BIG-IP solutions for load balancing and web application security
  • Implement and manage micro-segmentation policies within VMware NSX environments
  • Architect strategies to transition legacy Cisco ASA rulesets to Cisco Firepower or Palo Alto NGFWs
  • Act as the highest escalation point for complex network outages and security breaches
  • Provide exceptional customer support via phone and ticketing systems
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers and Account Executives to build strong customer relationships
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis exercises
  • Share knowledge via documentation and training sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Intermediate-level professional experience in network security engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco ASA (CLI/ASDM) and Firepower Threat Defense (FTD)
  • Deep experience with Palo Alto NGFW features (App-ID, User-ID, SSL Decryption)
  • Proficiency in F5 BIG-IP, including iRules development and SSL offloading
  • Hands-on experience with VMware NSX, including distributed firewalls (DFW) and edge gateways
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and deep packet inspection
  • Candidates must hold industry-recognized certifications: CCNA Security (Required), CCNP Security (Highly Preferred), PCNSE (Highly Preferred)
