About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence of our multi-cloud DBaaS platform across: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Drive operational standards, automation frameworks, and reliability engineering practices across distributed cloud environments.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8–10+ years of experience in DBA / Platform Engineering
  • Strong experience in multi-cloud environments (minimum two: Azure / AWS / GCP)
  • Expertise in high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and performance tuning
  • Strong automation mindset using Terraform, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in SaaS / DBaaS environments is preferred
  • Database Administration (DBA) Skills
  • Microsoft SQL Server (Primary)
  • PostgreSQL, MySQL (Secondary)
  • Backup & Recovery strategies
  • Performance tuning (query optimization, indexing, troubleshooting)
  • Database security (roles, access control, auditing)
  • Log Analysis: Reading and analyzing database and system logs.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Performing in-depth analysis after major incidents
  • Query Performance: Analyzing slow queries, deadlocks, and resource contention.
  • AWS (RDS, Aurora), Azure (SQL Database, Cosmos DB), GCP (Cloud SQL, Firestore)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes)
  • Containerized database environments (Kubernetes)
  • Observability tools (ELK stack – Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
  • Database migration across cloud platforms
  • Database scaling strategies (vertical & horizontal scaling)
