About the role

  • Race Communications is California's leading provider of 10G fiber internet, built on a mission to connect underserved communities. We are looking for a skilled and proactive MDU Project Manager to lead our fiber deployment projects from start to finish.
  • This role is central to our expansion, overseeing the end-to-end execution of telecommunications network deployments in Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs), single-family homes, and commercial developments. You will be the key coordinator ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • What You'll Do:
  • End-to-End Project Management: Lead the entire project lifecycle for fiber network deployments, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for property managers, developers, and community representatives, ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination.
  • Construction & Vendor Oversight: Collaborate with construction teams and manage vendors, conducting on-site walkthroughs to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project scope.
  • Process & Risk Management: Utilize project management tools like Jira to track milestones, manage risks, and provide regular progress reports to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of project management experience, preferably in telecommunications, construction, or community development.
  • Must be located in California
  • Direct experience with FTTH, MDU, and telecom infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of permitting, utility coordination, and construction oversight processes.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Jira is required) and the MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites are mandatory.
