Race Communications is California's leading provider of 10G fiber internet, built on a mission to connect underserved communities. We are looking for a skilled and proactive MDU Project Manager to lead our fiber deployment projects from start to finish.
This role is central to our expansion, overseeing the end-to-end execution of telecommunications network deployments in Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs), single-family homes, and commercial developments. You will be the key coordinator ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
What You'll Do:
End-to-End Project Management: Lead the entire project lifecycle for fiber network deployments, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for property managers, developers, and community representatives, ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination.
Construction & Vendor Oversight: Collaborate with construction teams and manage vendors, conducting on-site walkthroughs to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project scope.
Process & Risk Management: Utilize project management tools like Jira to track milestones, manage risks, and provide regular progress reports to leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
2-5 years of project management experience, preferably in telecommunications, construction, or community development.
Must be located in California
Direct experience with FTTH, MDU, and telecom infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of permitting, utility coordination, and construction oversight processes.
Proficiency in project management software (Jira is required) and the MS Office Suite.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites are mandatory.
