About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, own, & maintain the Regional Data Architecture Blueprint
- Maintain the blueprint as a living artefact, updated as strategy, structure & technology evolve
- Connect strategic business objectives to data needs through a Business Object Model
- Engage senior stakeholders to translate strategic priorities & decision-making requirements into a coherent model of data needs
- Develop logical data models as the implementation agnostic bridge between business requirements & physical design
- Translate business requirements into structured specifications for engineering & delivery teams
- Align Business Object & Data Domain models with capability frameworks & operating model design
- Mentor & support stakeholders to build internal data capability
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years’ experience in Data Architecture or similar
- Strong business-facing experience (ideally within banking/financial services, other regulated industry or complex operational environment)
- Proven ability to translate business needs into data models & specifications
- Deep understanding of data domains, ontologies & logical modelling
- Experience supporting data products & AI/ML use cases
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Confident engaging & influencing senior stakeholders
