National Business Development Manager – Deposits
RabobankNational Business Development Manager responsible for growth and client relationships in Rabobank's Deposits division. Driving strategic initiatives and revenue outcomes in a supportive team environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed defined revenue and balance growth targets
- Lead end-to-end sales processes including lead generation, client engagement, proposal development, and deal closing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, intermediaries, and clients
- Identify and capitalise on strategic market opportunities
- Deliver compelling sales presentations, pitches, and contract negotiations
- Manage sales pipelines and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives and deliver client value
- Represent Rabobank Deposits at key industry events
- Provide ongoing client aftercare to strengthen long-term partnerships
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk management, and internal governance frameworks
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 10 years’ experience in management, sales, and lead generation within banking, financial services, investment and/or superannuation
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful sales strategies
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets
- Experience managing stakeholders and building relationships at executive level
- Sound understanding of financial services regulations (APRA Prudential Standards, Basel frameworks)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and provide strategic insights
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with intermediaries (preferred)
