Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and develop accounting staff, including offshore resources
Oversee performance, workflow distribution, and process accountability
Ensure timely and accurate completion of all accounting activities
Build scalable team structures to support company growth
Oversee General Ledger (GL) integrity and month-end close process
Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Oversee billing operations within a services-based revenue model
Ensure accurate revenue recognition, particularly within project-based or time & materials environments
Support and maintain strong internal controls
Partner with operations and project teams to ensure financial accuracy
Improve reporting processes and financial visibility across the organization
Maintain audit-ready documentation and support external financial audits
Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Help modernize financial workflows to support company growth
Strengthen documentation and controls in preparation for growth or M&A activity (if applicable)
Oversee Sales & Use Tax compliance, including filings, reconciliations, and jurisdictional requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Hands-on experience with ERP Systems (Deltek, SAP preferably Unanet)
Prior experience in leadership or supervisory role
Strong understanding of services-based accounting models
Proven experience managing offshore accounting resources
Deep knowledge of GL, AP, AR, billing, and revenue recognition
Experience supporting financial audits
Strong process improvement mindset
Advanced Excel skills
