About the role
- Manage and develop accounting staff, including offshore resources
- Oversee performance, workflow distribution, and process accountability
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all accounting activities
- Build scalable team structures to support company growth.
- Oversee General Ledger (GL) integrity and month-end close process
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Oversee billing operations within a services-based revenue model
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition, particularly within project-based or time & materials environments
- Partner with operations and project teams to ensure financial accuracy
- Improve reporting processes and financial visibility across the organization
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support external financial audits.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience in leadership or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of services-based accounting models
- Proven experience managing offshore accounting resources
- Deep knowledge of GL, AP, AR, billing, and revenue recognition
- Experience supporting financial audits
- Strong process improvement mindset
- Advanced Excel skills
- CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required.
- Experience in IT services, MSP, or professional services environment preferred.
