About the role

  • Help patients check into the hospital and collect patient and insurance information accurately and quickly
  • Answer questions during registration and listen with compassion to address fears, concerns, and questions
  • Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment; work across multiple screens and programs
  • Work around clinicians interrupting the registration process for emergent clinical care
  • Ask follow-up questions, build rapport in real time, and assist patients who may be very ill or worried
  • Fast-paced work often on your feet assisting patients complete their registration; learn health-plan variation through training
  • Collaborate with the Patient Registration team and contribute toward career progression at R1 RCM Inc.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Be a confident multi-tasker who is a quick study with technology
  • Ability to type and answer phones; comfortable working across multiple programs
  • Must be up to date on all vaccinations prior to hire
  • Must pass a drug test prior to hire
  • Must pass a background check prior to hire
  • Comfortable working in a hospital/lab environment and prepared to see illness and injuries
