About the role
- Build, lead, and mentor a growing remote sensing team in Folsom and remote locations
- Develop training and onboarding programs for LiDAR technicians, UAV specialists, and analysts
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment focused on accuracy, safety, and innovation
- Manage and coordinate complex LiDAR, UAV, and photogrammetry projects — from acquisition through post-processing and feature extraction
- Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring all deliverables meet R.E.Y.’s rigorous standards for precision and quality
- Implement workflow improvements across platforms such as MicroStation, TopoDOT, and Trimble Business Center
- Integrate remote sensing workflows with surveying, GIS, and engineering teams
- Oversee budgets, schedules, and scopes for remote sensing projects across multiple states
- Collaborate with clients to assess needs, propose methodologies, and deliver advanced geospatial solutions
- Support business development by preparing proposals, cost estimates, and participating in presentations
- Represent R.E.Y. at professional events and conferences to promote our leadership in mobile and UAV LiDAR.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in LiDAR, remote sensing, or geospatial data management
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Certification in California (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Leadership experience managing technical teams across multiple locations
- Proficiency with MicroStation, TopoDOT, Trimble Business Center, and UAV/LiDAR workflows
- Strong understanding of mobile and static LiDAR systems, GNSS, and UAV data integration
- Proven experience in project management, business development, and client relations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and mentorship skills.
