About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- System administration for VMware, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 365, Citrix, NetApp storage, backup solutions, and telephony systems
- Design, installation, and maintenance of our Microsoft server operating systems in a virtualized environment
- Ensuring 24/7 system availability
- Participation in IT projects as well as cross-departmental projects within the corporate group
- Handling incoming IT incidents at 2nd-level support
- Supporting employees with IT issues across business units
- Planning and coordinating external service providers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Computer Science or completed vocational training in IT, plus several years of professional experience in the responsibilities listed above
- Interest in pursuing a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Windows servers and client operating systems, MS Exchange, server virtualization (VMware), firewalls, Citrix, and network technologies (LAN / WAN / WLAN / VPN)
- Willingness and commitment to take responsibility to develop new, innovative, and sustainable solutions
- Strong communication skills, openness, and a friendly manner
- Willingness to travel occasionally (Wismar site) and to participate in on-call duty
