Key Account Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build relationships and drive growth with strategic customers
- Develop and execute mid- and long-term account strategies for assigned key customers
- Drive sustainable revenue and margin growth through structured account planning
- Identify and realize cross-selling and upselling opportunities across products, services and sites
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions and contract agreements
- Manage framework, supply and quality agreements across multiple locations
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline with clear visibility of opportunities and risks
- Serve as the primary escalation point for strategic customers
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure an excellent customer experience
- Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Operations, Project Management, Quality and Supply Chain
- Market presence: Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events and trade fairs
- Deliver compelling customer presentations and business reviews
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally within: CDMO, MedTech, Pharmaceutical Packaging, Life Sciences or another highly regulated industry
- Proven experience managing strategic or key accounts
- Strong track record in complex contract negotiations and long-term customer development
- Experience working with CRM systems and modern sales tools
- Business fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer locations (approximately 70%)
