About the role

  • Create an inspiring shopping experience in which our guests feel empowered to customize their space
  • Promote the Ballard Designs brand at every guest encounter
  • Ensure your team exemplifies brand values, standards, and experiences
  • Guide company programs, increase sales, and set store to exceed expectations
  • Report to the Area Manager
  • Develop a strategy to increase sales and build guest loyalty through store programs, including Design Services
  • Recruit, Train, and Develop Team Members in all open positions
  • Forecast and adjust monthly payroll to maximize productivity, achieve sales/payroll goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of management experience in specialty retail or multi-unit retail business environments
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, Kronos, and POS systems
  • Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50 lbs.
