About the role
- Create an inspiring shopping experience in which our guests feel empowered to customize their space
- Promote the Ballard Designs brand at every guest encounter
- Ensure your team exemplifies brand values, standards, and experiences
- Guide company programs, increase sales, and set store to exceed expectations
- Report to the Area Manager
- Develop a strategy to increase sales and build guest loyalty through store programs, including Design Services
- Recruit, Train, and Develop Team Members in all open positions
- Forecast and adjust monthly payroll to maximize productivity, achieve sales/payroll goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of management experience in specialty retail or multi-unit retail business environments
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, Kronos, and POS systems
- Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50 lbs.
