About the role
- Manage and further develop multiple product categories within buying
- Lead and develop the buying team
- Develop and implement multichannel assortment and product strategies for designer brands
- Organize effective sourcing strategies for own and private-label brands
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships as well as internal and external networks
- Evaluate and select suppliers and brands, including trade fair visits and market analyses
- Develop and implement assortment guidelines, pricing strategies and new product concepts
- Use reports and analyses to optimize results and present strategies to executive management
- Ensure and optimize processes, efficiency and quality
- Represent the department and the company both internally and externally
Requirements
- Several years of experience in international buying/procurement, ideally in a multichannel environment
- Completed degree in business administration with a focus on retail (preferred)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Deep product and market knowledge in the relevant area
- Fluent German and business-fluent English, plus willingness to travel internationally
- Leadership experience and strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, high customer orientation and team spirit
- Self-initiation, decisiveness, flexibility and diplomatic aptitude
