About the role
- Develop full stack web applications with Python and React
- Contribute to projects that shape our core product experience - driving growth, ensuring healthy moderation, and empowering creators
- Design and launch product features at massive scale, using data and experimentation to guide each iteration
- Drive projects from ideation to production using the full technology stack
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, fellow engineers, and data scientists to prototype and implement functionality and analyze impact
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to ensure Quora provides a reliable and high quality product
Requirements
- 2+ years of full-time professional experience building consumer web products (excluding internships)
- Knowledge of frontend technologies such as React and Typescript
- Excellent skills in Python or similar programming language
- Professional experience leveraging backend storage systems such as MySQL, MyRocks, Memcached, or Redis
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems, and an understanding of the challenges and complexities involved in building scalable solutions for millions of users
