About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Source new pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting across phone, email, and social channels
- Identify prospect needs through brief discovery-style conversations and route qualified prospects to an account executive
- Consistently achieve qualified opportunity quotas through structured outbound activity
- Conduct research on district priorities, financials, technology landscape, and initiatives to personalize outreach and book meetings
- Maintain excellent CRM hygiene, logging all leads, touchpoints, and follow-ups accurately and in real time
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to develop territory-specific prospecting plans
- Conduct effective cold calls using clear openers, strong hooks, and concise discovery
- Write concise, high-impact emails for educators, administrators, and district leaders
- Assist inbound schools and districts interested in purchasing Wayground
- Own and surpass sales targets
- Support organizations engaging students in class and at home
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0–2 years of outbound sales or business development experience; SaaS preferred but not required
- Strong written communication skills and ability to craft clear, value-led outreach
- Confidence on the phone, including engaging prospects empathetically, handling objections, and uncovering needs
- Data-driven and process-oriented approach; track activity, analyze metrics, and improve using insights
- Ability to communicate effectively with educators and school/district administrators
- Passion for K–12 education and mission-driven technology
- Experience working in or selling to the U.S. K–12 education market is a plus
- Familiarity with CRM tools, sales analytics platforms, and scheduling tools
- Ability to work in the NYC office 3–4 days per week
