About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic counsel and direction to clients and internal teams
- Drive measurable earned media results
- Maintain client relationships through meetings, conference calls, ongoing communication, meeting agendas, notes, reports, and other day-to-day account management
- Write and edit press releases, media alerts, media pitches, annual PR plans and other strategic communication materials; lead press trips as needed
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers and other key industry contacts
- Ideate and broker strategic partnerships for creative campaigns with coaching from senior team
- Recommend and implement strategic programs and partnerships on an ongoing basis, often tied to the news cycle
- Stay on top of current industry news, media trends and emerging technologies; attend events and build industry relationships
- Oversee account work for 1-2 team members, providing training, coaching, editing, mentoring and overall sound leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Four to five years’ work experience in luxury travel/lifestyle PR; agency experience is preferred
- Minimum one year in a supervisory capacity managing 1-2 junior team members
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Solid portfolio of secured media coverage on behalf of luxury travel clients
