About the role
- Build and ship working software as technical lead
- Write, deploy, and iterate applications using AI-native tooling
- Integrate data science outputs into products with high impact
- Own product feedback loop through direct interviews and backlog management
- Evaluate project opportunities for financial impact prior to capacity consumption
- Develop and manage a team of data scientists for live prototypes
Requirements
- Senior practitioner with scar tissue to know what's worth building
- Proven track record of shipped projects
- Ability to provide a link to personal work portfolio or GitHub
- Experience in building financial impact models or business cases
- Experience in user discovery work (not routed through a PM)
- Experience in developing or managing technical or analytical staff
- Founding engineer experience in early-stage company is a strong signal
- Technical resource sourcing and management experience is a strong signal
- Experience in insurance, fintech, or high-volume sales/distribution environments is a strong signal.
