About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage end-to-end import shipments for a variety of products (raw materials / chemical products / finished goods) and different Incoterms.
  • Perform follow-up with logistics partners (shipping lines / freight forwarders / terminals / customs brokers / customs-bonded warehouses and inland port facilities) to ensure the SLAs contracted with each link in the chain are met.
  • Work to ensure shipments occur within required timeframes through KPIs and ongoing communication with internal interface areas, logistics partners, and the exporter.
  • Verify and record in the system all operational expenses related to the import process, ensuring suppliers are paid on time and that all expenses have been allocated to the process.
  • Review import documentation to ensure the process complies with the Customs Regulations.
  • Control the submission of import documentation to customs brokers (Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, cubic volume calculation, and space reservation/booking).
  • Follow established routines with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade / Business Administration with Foreign Trade / International Relations and/or related fields.
  • Prior experience with the activities described in the role is desirable.
  • Intermediate English and Spanish.
  • Advantage: Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP and OSGT systems; Power BI.
