About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell QuidelOrtho Transfusion Medicine product lines to customers within a geographic territory
- Acquire, convert, implement, and drive adoption of competitive Transfusion Medicine accounts
- Retain high-value strategic current customers in partnership with Account Managers, Technical Specialists, and Strategic Account Executives
- Convert competitive and new customer accounts by demonstrating value propositions and product capabilities
- Act as subject matter expert for competitive instrumentation and share knowledge with the team
- Adopt and expand business within Transfusion Medicine accounts and remain involved through renewals
- Drive Transfusion Medicine instrument placements within the assigned territory
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans to meet quotas, KPIs, and sales goals
- Partner with Strategic Account Executives on IDN-related planning
- Develop stakeholder relationships and execute customer touchpoint and call plans
- Manage opportunities inside and outside the buying and sales cycle using a strategic selling framework
- Assist with transition planning for newly converted customers and introduce them to Account Managers
- Partner with technical teams and Inside Sales to target and convert stand-alone, non-standardized IDNs
- Provide timely sales forecasts, activity updates, account updates, and CRM reports
- Collaborate with Marketing to identify equipment placement opportunities
- Travel to customer sites and conduct customer-facing sales activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare industry sales experience
- Knowledge of B2B sales and/or distribution sales
- Strong business development, strategic marketing, and data analysis skills
- Solid Transfusion Medicine market knowledge
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategies into executable tactical action plans
- Ability to deliver results independently in a fast-paced team environment
- Commercial and business acumen
- Ability to uncover key business issues and provide actionable recommendations
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles internally and externally
- Ability to analyze financial data and develop strategies and plans
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to uphold individual and company values
- High degree of ethics and professionalism
- Ability to work under general supervision following established procedures
- Customer-facing workers must meet customer credentialing requirements, which may include up-to-date immunizations
- Not currently eligible for visa sponsorship
- Up to 70% domestic overnight travel
- Preferred: 7 years of healthcare industry sales experience
- Prior hospital or physician office lab sales, distribution, or capital equipment sales experience preferred
- Specialist Blood Bank (SBB) Certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile suitable for travel to customer sites and airports
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Required vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, plus ability to adjust focus
