About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and month-end close
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors
Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and treasury activities
Manage tax compliance with external tax advisors
Develop KPI dashboards and management reporting
Support long-range financial planning, scenario analysis, and cash flow forecasting
Evaluate business opportunities, capital investments, and operational initiatives through financial analysis
Lead and mentor the accounting team
Improve financial processes, reporting, and system efficiencies
Collaborate across departments to improve financial visibility and decision-making
Support ERP optimization and finance technology initiatives
Partner with executive leadership and FP&A to develop budgets and forecasts
Build and maintain financial models
Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA required
7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including Controller or senior accounting leadership responsibilities
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights for non-financial leaders
Proven ability to improve financial processes and implement best practices
Valid U.S. work authorization is required
Preferred: experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, Salesforce, and Avalara
Preferred: experience developing financial dashboards and KPI reporting
Preferred: experience using AI to automate workflows and processes
