About the role
- Lead the design, deployment, and configuration of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and adherence to security standards.
- Perform all aspects of OpenShift cluster maintenance, including upgrades, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications deployed on OpenShift.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for OpenShift operations and infrastructure provisioning.
- Manage storage, networking, and security configurations within the OpenShift environment.
- Enforce security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, and integration with enterprise identity management.
- Document OpenShift configurations, operational procedures, and support guidelines.
- Ensure all activities strictly comply with FAA security guidelines and operational policies for government environments and facilities.
- Participate in system integration, verification, validation, and certification activities.
- Provide technical support for program reviews, customer briefings, and stakeholder engagements.
- Monitor emerging technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of ATC/ATM systems.
Requirements
- Master's degree in engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline with 10+ years relevant experience OR a bachelor's degree in engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline plus 15 years of relevant experience
- Specialized expertise in Kubernetes core concepts and architecture
- Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems
- Demonstrated experience with automation scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, Bash)
- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security principles within containerized environments
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a secure and regulated environment
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Candidate must have the ability to hold and maintain a Public Trust
