About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to alerts within a 24 x 7 NOC environment.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues across LAN and WAN environments.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities such as firmware upgrades, patching, and device replacements.
  • Assist in implementing network infrastructure and security solutions.
  • Support VPN configurations and basic firewall rule management.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and diagrams.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers as appropriate while assisting in resolution efforts.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support applications and services that rely on network infrastructure.
  • Participate in project deployments and technology rollouts as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate ticket updates and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering, network support, or related infrastructure roles.
  • Industry certification such as CCNA strongly preferred.
  • Progression toward CCNP is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and VPN technologies.
  • Basic understanding of routing concepts and WAN technologies.
  • Familiarity with firewall technologies and network security best practices.
  • Exposure to SD-WAN and cloud networking concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting tools such as ping, tracert, and Wireshark.
  • Basic understanding of network documentation and diagramming.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
