About the role
- Develop a robust, sustainable IFRS-focused accounting function in accordance with group policies.
- Responsible for the timely monthly upload of financial results into the parent company's reporting and consolidation systems.
- Take ownership of process implementations and map these processes in the ERP system.
- Responsible for IFRS–HGB reconciliation (IFRS to German GAAP).
- Provide support to the accounting team as needed.
- Contribute to the year-end closing and communicate professionally with external auditors and the parent company's internal audit team.
- Serve as the point of contact for tax matters related to IFRS with the parent company.
- Handle ad-hoc requests and take on ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial vocational training or a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting.
- Solid knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and good knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB).
- Several years of professional experience in accounting or group accounting, ideally in an international environment.
- Confident user of ERP systems with experience mapping and implementing financial processes.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex financial matters to different stakeholders (parent company, external auditors, internal auditors, etc.).
- Analytical thinking and strong numerical aptitude, combined with a precise, structured, and self-directed working style.
- Team-oriented personality with a hands-on mentality and high reliability.
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
