About the role
- Full responsibility for internal and external coordination of the entire supplier management process.
- Validation of schedules and conducting commitment meetings for components.
- Ensuring supply that meets quality, timing and capacity requirements.
- Management and oversight of the timely, quality-compliant production of systems, tools and production equipment at international suppliers, plant builders and toolmakers.
- Tracking of agreed first-sample dates as part of maturity verification for critical purchased parts.
- Initiation and implementation of appropriate special measures in case of schedule deviations, and ensuring status-appropriate supply during pre-series and production ramp-up (delivery quantities, dates, customer readiness).
- Support for supplier factory preparation within Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
- Site visits to support cost analyses, tooling relocations, scrappage actions, bottleneck situations, insolvency cases, or operational disruptions.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a comparable discipline.
- Several years of professional experience in supplier management, ideally in an international environment.
- Solid knowledge of production processes, audits and technical supplier development.
- Strong communication skills, negotiation confidence and assertiveness.
- Willingness to travel and intercultural competence.
- Very good written and spoken German and English.
