About the role
- Collaborate closely with peers to enhance scalability and performance of Queensland Rail’s Operational Systems.
- Apply engineering techniques to drive product development and system improvements.
- Work in an agile environment, continuously refining delivery to maximise customer and stakeholder value.
- Tackle complex software and systems engineering challenges, using a broad range of technologies.
- Contribute directly to business operations while having the freedom to innovate and suggest improvements.
Requirements
- Currently hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or be on track to complete by the end of 2025.
- Within the following relevant disciplines: Software Engineering, Computer and Software Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or other equivalent degrees that demonstrate significant software development components.
- High academic achievement in your degree discipline.
- Enthusiasm to be involved in all parts of the Software Development Lifecycle to support the development and maintenance of computer-based operational systems.
- A test and learn mindset with curiosity, collaboration and care.
- Substantial level of interpersonal, negotiation, oral and written communication skills.
- Substantial analytical and problem-solving, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
