About the role

  • Manage daily air freight movements from FC dispatch through destination injection
  • Ensure FC teams are following air freight preparation requirements regarding carton labeling, documentation, sortation, and truck loading order
  • Identify and correct upstream errors that impact downstream air performance
  • Oversee truckloads from FCs to origin airports and recovery trucks from destination airports
  • Monitor scheduled air departures, load acceptance, and flight performance
  • Validate that cartons are injected into the correct last mile carriers at destination
  • Manage day-to-day execution with air freight providers and trucking partners
  • Hold providers accountable to SLAs covering pickup, flight departure, flight arrival, recovery, and injection
  • Coordinate actions for missed flights, bumps, or capacity constraints
  • Monitor air freight performance dashboards and carrier reporting
  • Validate scan events, flight data, and injection confirmations
  • Identify missing scans, misroutes, or failed injections
  • Act as first point of escalation for air freight disruptions and execution failures
  • Communicate issues clearly with root cause, impact, and recovery plan
  • Identify recurring failure points in air freight execution
  • Partner with transportation, FC, and visibility teams to improve processes and tooling
  • Support optimization of zone skipping, lane design, and injection strategy
  • Contribute operational insight to peak planning and contingency planning

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail paired with big-picture systems thinking
  • Highly self-motivated with strong sense of ownership
  • Comfortable monitoring data and validating operational execution
  • Calm and decisive under time-sensitive disruptions
  • Confident communicating with external carriers and internal teams
  • Curious and eager to learn air cargo rules, documentation, and network constraints.
  • Experience in air freight, transportation, logistics, or operations preferred but not required
  • Exposure to air cargo, trucking coordination, or carrier management is a plus
  • Familiarity with AWBs, IAC requirements, and air cargo compliance
  • Experience with TMS, flight tracking, or visibility platforms
