About the role
- Develop a company-wide occupational safety strategy and establish an effective, sustainable corporate culture of health and safety across the Quarzwerke Group through a structured change-management process
- Benchmark occupational safety performance and best-practice models with companies and industries that have high safety maturity, and implement them group-wide
- Define safety-related targets and support operational units in achieving them
- Conduct occupational safety audits and incident investigations/analyses
- Further develop the occupational safety team (national and international)
- Collaborate with internal and external technical and supervisory bodies, as well as with works councils and employee representative committees
- Contribute to shaping the sustainability strategy
Requirements
- University degree
- Experience in occupational health & safety and qualification as a safety specialist
- Initial leadership experience and experience implementing change projects
- Confident, professional manner and strong communication skills
- Analytical thinking, an entrepreneurial mindset, and decisiveness
- Strong execution focus and high commitment to performance
- Willingness to travel and very good command of English
