About the role
- Prepare proposals for emerging solicitations to USG, to include SBIR/OTAs, and commercial opportunities.
- Convert technical documentation (sensor specs, cloud architecture, deployment logistics) into clear, persuasive proposals.
- Work directly with growth, engineering, and operations to collect content and shape solution narratives.
- Manage proposal timelines, content development, compliance checks, and submission logistics.
- Build and maintain a reusable proposal content library, boilerplate language, and past-performance summaries (as company history grows).
- Assist with capture planning, early-stage bid strategy, and customer-facing materials (capability statements, one-pagers, slide decks).
Requirements
- 2–5 years experience in technical or government-related proposal writing or business development — ideally in a startup or technology environment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and narrative development skills. Comfort learning technical sensor, data, or engineering concepts quickly.
- Strong organizational and project management ability, comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced work.
- Flexibility to wear multiple hats — writing, coordination, capture support, business-development tasks.
- Self-starter mentality: comfortable working autonomously, making decisions, and operating with limited process or guidance.
Benefits
- Competitive salary
- Flexible work hours and the option for remote work.
- Opportunities for professional development and continued education.
