About the role

  • Develop and execute the APAC field marketing plan, balancing a unified regional approach with country-specific strategies for key markets.
  • Lead the localization of global campaigns and messaging, ensuring they are culturally relevant, linguistically accurate, and aligned with local business practices in each target country.
  • Work hand-in-hand with regional Sales and local distributors/partners to align marketing activities with pipeline targets and specific country priorities.
  • Lead the planning and execution of a robust regional events calendar, including major conferences, trade shows, and proprietary QM-hosted events across the region.
  • Coordinate with the global PR lead and local agencies to drive regional PR initiatives, ensuring effective media coverage and brand visibility in key Asian markets.
  • Identify and utilize the most effective marketing channels for each specific market to maximize reach.
  • Identify and drive the creation of regional success stories and testimonials, working to amplify the voices of key customers in top-tier academic and research institutions across APAC.
  • Serve as the Marketing eyes and ears on the ground, providing feedback to the global team on local market trends, cultural insights, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in B2B marketing roles
  • Proven experience working closely with sales teams and partners across multiple Asian markets (specifically Japan and Korea is a strong advantage)
  • Deep understanding of the diverse business cultures, marketing channels, and localization requirements across the region.
  • Experience marketing hardware, semiconductors, or complex deep-tech products is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing complex event strategies (trade shows, academic conferences, and hosted VIP events).
  • Experience marketing to academic and research institutions, national labs, and government agencies.
  • BSc or MSc in physics, engineering, or a related technical field – an advantage.
  • Strong ability to learn and comprehend complex scientific and engineering concepts to effectively engage with the regional community.
  • Autodidact eager to master new technologies.
