About the role

  • Design, implement and execute comprehensive validation test plans for quantum control platforms and solutions.
  • Develop automated testing infrastructures and system tests based on defined test plans.
  • Collect, interpret, and document data from system tests/experiments to assess performance and identify improvements.
  • Identify, reproduce, and analyze issues across system components and collaborate with other engineering teams for debugging.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and product teams to define test coverage and quality acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in regression testing and CI/CD for new feature rollouts and product releases.
  • Oversee setup, calibration, and enhancement of test equipment and environments.

Requirements

  • M.Sc./PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Solid programming skills in Python or another programming language.
  • Deep understanding of hardware-software system architecture and debugging.
  • Excellent problem-solving, team-player and communication skills.
  • Enjoys working in a highly driven multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong technical background with experience in validation, test automation, or system integration (advantage).
  • Experience working with lab instruments and signal processing tools (advantage).
