About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the smooth implementation and maintenance of database systems.
Provide production support for 24/7 environments
Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and scalability of database systems
Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards
Document and maintain technical documentation related to the work done
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and design scalable cloud database architectures
Develop and implement database management strategies, including data governance and data security measures
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cloud computing, data management, and database technologies, and recommend improvements to existing systems
Participate in capacity planning exercises and ensure efficient resource utilization

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
At least 5 years of experience working with complex database architectures
At least 5 years of experience with Database Management Operations
At least 5 years of experience with designing and implementing database architectures
At least 5 years of experience with Database Security in SQL
Experienced with Automation and Scripting using Ansible, Shell, or Python
