About the role
- Ensure the smooth implementation and maintenance of database systems.
- Provide production support for 24/7 environments
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and scalability of database systems
- Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards
- Document and maintain technical documentation related to the work done
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and design scalable cloud database architectures
- Develop and implement database management strategies, including data governance and data security measures
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cloud computing, data management, and database technologies, and recommend improvements to existing systems
- Participate in capacity planning exercises and ensure efficient resource utilization
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
- At least 5 years of experience working with complex database architectures
- At least 5 years of experience with Database Management Operations
- At least 5 years of experience with designing and implementing database architectures
- At least 5 years of experience with Database Security in SQL
- Experienced with Automation and Scripting using Ansible, Shell, or Python
