About the role

  • Take full ownership of the Fixed Asset lifecycle, including recording acquisitions, disposals, and working with cross functional teams to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Manage the Insurance Accounting manual, maintaining up-to-date documentation and ensuring all insurance-related transactions align with company policy.
  • Execute all month-end close journal entries with precision, ensuring the general ledger reflects accurate financial positioning.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing the necessary data and schedules to support corporate reporting.
  • Perform comprehensive account and bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain the integrity of the balance sheet.
  • Conduct detailed reconciliations for Fixed Assets and Insurance accounts, bridging the gap between sub-ledgers and the general ledger.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the broader Finance team to drive continuous improvement in accounting workflows.
  • Work cross-enterprise with diverse functional teams to ensure a smooth finance operating model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a similar field, OR equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, OR equivalent relevant experience and;
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical support role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, numerical aptitude, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, and a solid grasp of basic accounting and financial principles.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive and eager learner with a strong desire to build a career in finance, demonstrating the ability to work well under guidance and as a collaborative team member.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
