About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure compliance with Electrical Distribution System standards and regulations
- Prepare and review project design packages using Pole Foreman, Maximo, GDT, and/or AutoCAD
- Apply client, industry, and regulatory standards to existing distribution system components
- Support the Engineering Manager with project assignments
- Manage project performance and customer relationships for the distribution team
- Identify and resolve problems
- Review completed designs and design products for client, industry, regulatory, quality, and consistency compliance
- Communicate with internal, client, and regulatory counterparts
- Maintain production in a changing environment
- Identify and promote training opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- AA/AS Degree or 2 years of formal post-high school specialized trade (technical school/certifications) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required to qualify for an Engineer title; candidates without a bachelor's degree can be considered for a Technician-level role based on experience
- 1-3+ years' experience in Utility Distribution design using Pole Foreman, Maximo, GDT, AutoCAD, or similar software
- Microsoft Office product application
- Knowledge of electrical distribution system design engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to apply client, industry, and regulatory standards and requirements to existing distribution system components
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to customer service and client care
- Ability to work with a variety of projects and deadlines
- Excellent document management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
