About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design overhead transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range
Prepare construction sketches for overhead network services (4 KV through 34 KV)
Perform structural analysis and design, perform foundation designs
Model transmission lines in PLS-CADD
Determine right of way requirements
Calculate conductor sags
Develop transmission line plan and profile drawings
Review vendor submittals

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited school
0-2 years of experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office product applications
Exposure to PLS-CADD, AutoCAD or similar is a plus but not required
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, having high attention to detail
Great communication skills
Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) or ability to obtain within one year of hire
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Must possess valid driver's license
